We understand the decision to acquire care at home for yourself or a loved one involve questions and considerations. Q – What are the staff rates of pay?
A – The rates of pay are unique to each individual package and are decided after an initial assessment regarding the needs of the prospective client. It is not possible to forecast rates of pay until after the assessment.
Q: What exact services can you provide?
A: We are able to provide tailored care at home services based on individual requirements. Specific services can range from live in care, personal support, household jobs as well as clinical care including nursing and physiotherapy and long-term complex care packages.
Q: How do we get set up with Jane Lewis?
A: Once you have enquired or been referred to Jane Lewis we would arrange an initial meeting to discuss and understand your needs. Following this we carry out an initial assessment, risk assessments and discuss times, availability and associated costs.
Q – How much do your services cost?
A: Costs are discussed during the assessment process and are allocated based on the individual requirements of each client.
Q: How quickly can you start?
A: Depends on the individual, the area and the needs of the client. The quickest is that day or as soon as assessment is completed. Please also note that we only take on packages of 4 hours or more.
Q – Are your staff contracted?
A – Our staff aren’t contracted but are on temporary contracts and assigned to individual packages of care so we maintain a consistent service to our clients. The health care staff employed by Jane Lewis undergo a rigorous recruitment process which includes shadow shifts and assessment to guarantee the quality of our staff. We require ongoing availability from our specialist support staff so we can provide the continuity necessary to provide a fully supportive care package.
Q – Do you pay mileage?
A – They payment of mileage and expenses is agreed after an assessment of requirements and is dependent on the source of the package’s funding.
Q: How are you regulated?
A: We are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW).
