Out of Hours Coordinator

About the Role

The Out of Hours Coordinator is a dynamic and multi-faceted telephone based role which provides support across all branches (Care at Home, Complex Care & Nursing) during evenings and weekends. The role is key to providing 24 hour support to clients, nurses and carers. With excellent communication and problem solving skills you will be able to respond to incoming calls and deal with any queries efficiently. You’ll need to ensure the nurses and care staff supplied are suitably qualified and experienced for the assignments when taking new bookings. With a strong focus on customer service you’ll need to be a fast learner with any ability to move between different systems and prioritise tasks with ease. The successful candidate will need to be flexible and be able to work unsocial hours. The role will be predominately home based but on occasion you will be required to work from the Chester office.  There will be an initial 2 week training period in the office.

Role Hours/Shifts

The hours are based on a 3 week rolling rota and will start with the following shift pattern:

Week 1

Free – no hours

Week 2

Friday 5pm – 10pm

Week 3

Friday 5pm – 10pm

Sunday 8am – 3pm

You will need to be able to commit to being able to work 2 weekends out of 3 and to be as flexible as possible.  Extra hours are potentially available to cover for staff absences and there will be a further 13 hours available to cover maternity leave from August 2019.
