We are currently recruiting for an outgoing, enthusiastic, and confident support worker for our male client in Manchester.
Our client sustained a serious brain injury as a pedestrian in a road traffic accident when younger, and now suffers from epilepsy and right side visual spatial awareness.
The support worker will be expected to provide support whilst at home and to access the community.
The ideal candidate for this position should have relevant experience working with clients with complex needs or ABI
You will be expected to help our client engage with new activities as he can lack motivation at times, and will need reassurance.
You will need to be someone who is able to take the lead when needed but also be able to judge when it is a good time to step back and allow our client to be as independent as possible.
You will need to be patient and have good written skills due to writing and updating the daily case notes.
The right candidate will also be able to work as part of a team, as having a solid support team in place who communicates effectively with each other provides consistent support for the client.
This package will include the delivery of care the candidate needs to be confident, patient but outgoing. He requires 1:1 support.
A full clean UK driving license is essential so that the support worker can attend social outings.
Day/Night – 24 hr package
The candidate will be willing to adhere to a rolling rota, comprehensive training will be provided. You will have the chance to meet the family and complete shadowing shifts with other Jane Lewis staff members.
