How long have you worked for Jane Lewis?
I recently joined Jane Lewis in October 2016 to manage the new branch in South Wales.
What is your background?
I have worked for nursing agencies for over a decade. I started out as a recruitment consultant before progressing to management roles. I’ve worked in all aspects of healthcare services including complex care packages and a variety of staffing environments. I really love my job as no two days are the same.
What is the highlight of working for Jane Lewis?
Everyone who works for Jane Lewis is so helpful and welcoming. Since starting at Jane Lewis it has really felt like a big family with everyone supporting each other as well as our staff and clients.
What are the benefits to staff (Nurses, HCAs, and Specialist Support Workers) of working for Jane Lewis?
The main benefits for our staff when registering with Jane Lewis is that they will be looked after and supported fully throughout their career with us on both a personal and professional level. We are focused on providing our staff with a positive work life balance and working patterns that suit their personal commitments. We also have a number of financial benefits and offers including a ‘refer-a-friend’ scheme worth £250 per referral.
What motivates you during your working day?
My continued motivation is the knowledge that I am placing healthcare professionals with the very best standards of quality care available to care for the most vulnerable people in our society. I always strive to provide the best possible service to our staff and clients and this gives me great satisfaction.
Tell us something unusual about yourself?
My eyes are a few different colours in them if you look close enough.
Where do you live?
I live only a few minutes from our Llantrisant offices in Pontyclun.
What’s your favourite song?
I’d have to say “Amazed” by Lonestar!
Where is your favourite holiday destination?
I like to go on holiday to different places all the time as I like experiencing new cultures and visiting new sites and areas. I also prefer places with a warm climate though and a beach is quite welcome!
