We are pleased to announce that over the last 12 months we raised £2,000 as a company for charities that support the local communities in which our branches are located including Ellesmere Port, Chester, Shrewsbury and St Asaph.
National and international charities such as Save the Children, Cancer Research and Children in Need were also recipients of the fundraising efforts of staff at Jane Lewis as we took part in annual charitable activities such as Christmas Jumper Day and Wear it Pink.
Local charities to benefit from our staff’s fundraising included St Kentigerns Hospice, Harry Johnson Trust and Ty Gobiath with activities ranging from a sponsored half marathon to a Charity Dog Walk and Colour Run.
Staff that played a key role in the charitable work included Shrewsbury Deputy Manager Jackie Millward who hosted a Charity Dog Walk that raised £350 for supported living charity Bethphage, North Wales Deputy Manager Chanel Williams who raised £150 for Ty Gobiath by completing the Rhyl 5k Onesie Walk and Marketing Manager Gavin Roberts who raised £200 for Harry Johnson Trust that completed the Shrewsbury Half Marathon.
Managing Director Becky Garnett-Buchma said: “As a local nursing agency with a strong presence in the communities we serve we appreciate how significant charitable donations are in supporting the important services provided by local charities to our community. We are therefore very happy to have raised £2000 over the last 12 months.”
As a company Jane Lewis will continue to fundraise for local charities in the upcoming year and our next project will see Consultant Bernie Murphy and Deputy Manager Chanel take part in a skydive to raise money for Mencap Cymru and British Heart Foundation.
