This year to celebrate the spirit of Christmas we are inviting both office and healthcare staff to donate toys which will then be distributed by the Salvation Army to families and children in the areas we work with who wouldn’t otherwise receive a Christmas present this year.
With little over five weeks remaining before Christmas Day we are asking those that wish to donate toys to deliver them to your local Jane Lewis branch by Friday 8 December.
We have partnered with the Rhyl, Ellesmere Port and Crewe branches of the Salvation Army who will provide disadvantaged families in their areas with both toys for the children and food and vital provisions for the families.
The Ellesmere Port branch of the Salvation Army will invite families into branch prior to Christmas so that children can choose the toys of their liking to share the joy of Christmas.
The Salvation Army’s Rhyl and Crewe branches will be creating gift bags to be delivered to children, young people, the homeless and older people who are in need.
Lieutenant Rachael Nieuwoudt of the Rhyl Salvation Army said: “The Christmas Present Appeal focuses on the local community and all donations or assistance you provide will directly benefit those in need within this community.”
Jane Lewis Managing Director Becky Garnett-Buchma said: “As we are a company built on family values we are very happy to be able to support the Salvation Army’s Christmas Present Appeal which provides joy to the lives of children at Christmas.”
If you would like to support the appeal we will welcome new toys and gift donations to our branches in Chester, St Asaph or Crewe Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm.
